I have cornered my problem to the Nivida driver, so i knoe its a driver problem.
When using the 169.25 official/169.28 beta driver in Vista MCE I get choppy playback on .avi/divx files. I can fix this by downgrading to 163.75, with this driver there is know choppy playback at all. I am using the same codec (ffdshow tryouts latest release).
I didnt have a problem using the old driver until yesterday when I upgraded my 360 HD-DVD drive to a BD/HD reader from LG. I now have a problem with latest powerdvd ultra biuld and the old driver (163.75), I get a green line about a pixel thick along the bottom of my monitor, HD-DVD’s play fine as they did before.
Again, I can fix this problem by upgrading my driver to 169.25, with this driver the green line goes! But then I get choppy .avi playback on VistaMCE.
Aahhhhhh, is there anything I can do? How do I log bugs with Nvidia? Anyone else getting these issues?
