Without AMD, we’d all be paying twice the price for half the performance that we see today. As long as AMD has a reasonably competitive product, it’s going to be my value choice. If I absolutely, positively had to have the most performance possible and the cost be damned, that’s going to be Intel most of the time.
I just paid $91 including shipping for an Phenom 9850 Black Edition. That’s value!
