I remember reading about this a while back in a thread over at htpcnews.com, but I can’t remember what the overall consensus was in that thread, so I’m asking anew here.
I don’t have any antivirus software on my htpc, never have because I know that some or all of this software can conflict with the smooth operation of various front ends. My HTPC does get used as more than just a HTPC sometimes and I often wonder if I should load up antivirus software, but which would be best? I know norton was mentioned as a bad one, but I seem to recall some people saying that AVG was rather inert and worked well.
