    You sort have this all jumbled up. Yes the host device (OCUR) available to the PC users is one-way capable, but that doesn’t make the CableCARD one-way per say. All CableCARDs are bidirectional capable when used in a proper bi-directional enabled [b]host[/b]. Mototorola’s own DCH line of set-top boxes work this way, they access On Demand content, etc. just fine.

    We need to be pressuring the PC hardware vendors to make proper Bi-directional host devices for the PC.

    Tru2way is a plaform initiative that involves both bi-directional CableCARD support and software foundations that allow just about any host device to connect to any cable providers network and get the software downloaded to the host device (OCAP) to behave like any other set-top on the cable network. This of course has some good and some rather lame points to it.
