Sweeeeet. I always love hearing more info on cablecard systems. But I’d be much more interested if these announcements were for systems that are actually available for purchase at a reasonable price. Where the hell are the Dells and HPs and such? I could build a powerhouse of a system for $1500, I don’t see any reason why an OEM can’t manage one for a few hundred more with cablecard. I’m sure this Sony XL3 will cost an arm and a leg plus your firstborn.
I was hoping this would take a year to catch on, not to even get started at all… but at this rate, hope is fading.
