I don’t know if this has been discussed or not, but i’ve been doing some thinking of late about the Vista BIOS hack that was released a little while back, that allows OEM install and activations.
So here is what I was wondering, if somehow you where able to get an OEM CableCard Tuner, and someone was to dump the BIOS of thier CABLELABS Certified box, then it in theory would be possible to add a Cablecard to any custom built system. Of course I do not condone not paying for an OS, but this seems like it is a way to get what everyone wants. “CableCard in your own custom build PC”
I would love to here if anyone has some thoughts about this?
