Is it possible to use “Record Series” for OTA Sports? For some reason even though it shows other scheduled games under “Other showings” I don’t get the “Record Series” option in WMC. I tried it with NBA and NHL games.

I can record non-sports content as “series” fine.

use keyword recording instead of the series. I’m not sure why it’s not there to record as a series, but like if you just put NBA Basketball as the keyword to record, then it should record everything. The problem with this, is you might get some recorded shows you weren’t intending.

I can tell you how I do it. I like to record every San Diego Chargers NFL game so what I do is set up a keyword recording to record on “NFL Football Chargers” and this manages to record every game. If you were to look at the guide data, the title would be “NFL Football” for every game and then “Chargers” is in the description of every game so those keywords manage to filter out all of the unwanted games.

I believe I have a series recording configured for English Premier League Soccer on ESPN2, but I’m not sure what constitutes whether something qualifies as a series recording.

Thanks guys your suggestions did the trick. I was able to filter it out even more by using the “Add a Category” option. So it would only record sports. There are 4 NBA games that are scheduled to record this week.
