Well I was on the road to plan on using 360s as my extenders so I started converting my movies to MPEG. But in that form Media player won’t skip, fast forward or give me the ability to have subtitles or chapters.

Can someone suggest a the best or most useable format to keep them in. I was thinking .ISO or a folder with the vobs would be best. But extenders don’t play nice with those unless the software does transcoding which is really resource intensive. Or should I bypass the extenders and look to build HTPCs in order to have more functionality.

It is such a pain when every other day some new software gives us a different approach. I was hoping webguide would be my answer but I am either lacking in the hardware dept on my Windows Home server for handling the transcoding or the software it self is buggy. Not to mention I can’t get it to stream anything other than my Mpgs.
