I currently have a Harman Kardon AVR 630 and it’s a great sounding receiver but the built in component video switching has croaked. Currently I have my Harmony 880 set to change the inputs on the TV from Component 1 for my Direct TV to Component 2 for my HTPC. The problem with this setup is that my Magnavox Plasma does not switch directly between the two inputs. It cycles thru all eight video inputs and 9 times outta 10 one is missed and I have to go into help on the remote to change the input 1 or 2 more times. I don’t really have the $$ to get a new receiver at this point so I was hoping someone would know of a video switcher with remote (so I can program it into my Harmony) with Component inputs and outputs.
Does this mythical beast exist? Or should I start socking away $$ for the cool Denon receiver I saw last week at Fry’s?
Oh, it has to be Component because although my TV has a DVI-D connection I can’t get it to realize that my PC is hooked up to it…
