I just wrote a longer post, but it doesn’t appear to have posted… and I am tired, so I’m gonna keep things short.
I plan on replacing an older LC18 build with a build using an Antec Mini P180. I have the parts picked out and am pretty competent with computer-building. However, I have a few concerns with TV tuners and the DTV transition.
I currently have extended cable service from Cox Communications and connect the TV via coax to the cable outlet. In the past, the TV tuners I had would simply connect the same way: from the cable outlet via coax. Is this still the case? Or are there other things to consider with the DTV transition underway? I was interested in the Vista View Saber 2020 card, but will it be obsolete/useless after Feb ’09?
I have never bothered with OTA HD recording, but don’t want that to limit my options.
