Panasonic’s TC-P50VT25 is said to be Energy Star 4.0 compliant.
here is the math from the Energy Star PDF
Height in Inches multiplied by Width in inches of the viewable screen = Area in square inches. This number then goes into the equasion below:
1,105 mm × 622 mm = screen area of 1065.332631500093 square inches
(0.120 * 1065.332631500093) + 25 = 152.839916 watts
yet in the manual for the TV it says in the specifications the Maximum used watts is 512W. The Energy Star 4.0 program says the TV is allowed only 152.839916 watts at maximum power usage.
So even though the Panasonic Ad says it’s Powerstar 4.0 Compliant the math doesn’t add up.
