I know we all have our own tastes and tools we use to get our HTPCs running the way we want. I’m sure you guys have heard of them, but I just wanted to highlight some of the plug-ins that have really brought things together for me in Win7MC so far (without any headaches).
My Channel Logos – Adds logos to your guide (in color). Matches up the logo w/ the channel automatically using the channel metadata. I’m not sure why, but this just really seems to add that extra polish to the look of the guide.

Yet Another Media Meta Manager (Yammm) – Win7MC now has a “DVD Library” built-in w/o any reg hacks or other third party plug-ins. Yammm is a really lightweight program that runs as a service monitoring the folders you choose and downloads the metadata, DVD cover, etc. for you automatically.

MCE Sleep Tool – Another lightweight app that helps you configure your HTPC for standby (as the name implies). Highly configurable, and really makes standby configuration a piece of cake. Even if you have standby working, this plug-in will help you fine-tune it and get things working properly.

NOTE: You have to use version 0.9.098 for Win7 support. It can be found in the thread here:

These have all been verified as Win7 (x64) compatible, by yours truly. 🙂 I’ll update this list as I find more that are helpful, but feel free to contribute your own.
As always, please try to support the developers of these awesome apps.
