Recently I have noticed some flickering going on while watching video with my 2600xt. I’m sure it’s probably been happening since I’ve had it, but it’s just now caught my attention. I first noticed it Sunday night while watching the HD broadcast of the Colts – Titans game. First I thought it may just be that channel, but tonight I noticed it while watching The Simpsons Movie on DVD. It seems kind of faint, and I don’t think a casual viewer would pay any attention to it. But because I’m looking for flaws in the system to see what’s working and what’s not, I’ve noticed it and it is distracting to me ’cause I know it’s there. It seems to be most noticeable in light scenes, especially where there’s a lot of white. You don’t notice it in darker scenes or where there’s more color to the scene. Has anyone else had this problem with the 2600 series cards? I have the 7.11 drivers; I’m using the Cyberlink decoder for all video playback in SageTV.
