The economy shows where quality control belongs.
If there is only one group who can afford a product because of cost, quality doesn’t matter.
If the product is affordable for everybody, quality is high. The reason for the cost dictating low quality is advertising.
High Costs means high advertisement budget: for the purpose of targeted advertisements.
Low cost means low advertisement budget: no target group exists for that product, people will naturally buy it.You ideally want all the data available when targeting your advertisements, so you want all the people getting advertisements, so you can get all the data.
And if all the people get advertised too, they must be able to afford it.Thus the advertisement mean low quality because everybody is advertised too – reach everybody and make a sale.
This low quality product is then divided up into products that interest people: sports, shopping, games, etc.If you don’t need the info to make targeted advertising successful then the product is a automatic sale, and the person buying it will want quality in the product.
Coffee for example is available to everyone everywhere, but ask somebody if they want some and they will tell you, tell you, how they want it: with cream, or sugar, or black, is it decaf, is it from this store, etc.And people make big money getting people interested in the decision making process, even if all they are doing is watching somebody else make the decision like on a talk show.
People associate freedom with choice, and choice is in proportion to the cost of the items for sale.
If a item is associated with freedom, it is either available to everyone – with the quality they desire, or it is of low enough quality everyone can afford it if they want it for the perceived joy it brings. Thus, Blu Ray is less important than instant streaming video on demand.
And since this is so, NA must get faster internet and make it available in rural NA towns and areas.
And since the companies can’t afford to do this, government must make at least a program where towns and rural areas can ask for Government money to help High Speed internet companies make High speed available in their town. Or else the shine (of Liberty) will not glow so brightly to these unfortunate individuals, it will be strange for them to see they are left out even though VOD is low quality compared to Blu Ray.If that is too expensive, then make Blu Ray cheap and available everywhere.
Make 3D TV’s cheap so everybody can buy one, make the glasses cheap. It’s the cost and how it affects the thoughts of people that I’m looking at right now. If the quality is low and not available to everyone then it is not right in the minds of people that they don’t have access to it, so what is the solution? Time will tell. -
