From what I am reading everywhere SD from a PC does nto compare to a stand alone

It seems like the long thread at Green button about quality of SD says that you cannot improve it to the point where it will look as good as what your cable provider can give you.

This is from the forum where they talk directly to the Media Center guys at MS. Or maybe I am missing something.

I ran some DXVGA tool to set a registry setting that they said is the biggest help but I could not see a difference.
