Okay finally my did is going to network(wired) part of the house. I need some advice on wiring and hubs kind of confused on what switches and cables i should buy. My main purpose of getting wired network is because i do heavy file sharing and streaming like HD/BD material. So I know i would have to get a cat 6 cable between my server and HTPC, but what about hubs or is switches i have to look at? What is a unmanaged and managed switch?

Router(10/100)—->Room PC
||(wired)
WHS Server in garage–>(Hub or Switch)–>HTPC living room 10/100/100 nic
