Hi All,
Thanks for the site and forums which are full of helpful content!
Following you recommandations, I just ordered the parts to build the basic HTPC.
Among which a Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H 780G MB … Unfortunately it seems that this motherboard wont support 1366 x 768 (or other close resolutions)
First of all, would you confirm this? And does this mean I’m screwed to use this on my LG 50″ PG6000? (it has HDMI and PC inputs)
Second, is there any Video Card I can buy that will solve the problem (I’ve been told nvidia would work well with these resolutions) – and which nvidia should I buy, knowing that I wont be going for 1080p or gaming, and that I want a PC as silent as possible?
Third, are the workarounds (powerstrip, etc…) really viable?
Many many thanks for your answers!!
And thanks again for all the precious info!
Cheers
