There has to be more of these IR receivers out there than ATI, Sage and any other PC based IR receivers I would think. Yet each for Eventghost you have do a registry hack and install a custom DLL. With Girder 5 it doesn’t look like there is even a plug in for this receiver.

I tried the eventghost but it looks like I would have to remap every single command and I also couldn’t get the joystick on the MS keyboard to be picked up. I would thing there would be a simple way to say to either program that my receiver is the EHome receiver and then load all the default commands for the MS remotes.

I was planning on using the Logitech default setup for the remote that send the yellow button (I have no clue why that is an option) to fire off a windows exec which would be my HDMI-on app to reset the EDID to get my tv to pick up the HTPC when it loses its handshakey thingy.

Any ideas? I posted on Logitech late last night about the need to send keyboard keys. Hopefully I get a useful answer. I don’t understand why when I sett up the MCE device that it doesn’t recognize every command available on the keyboard. All I want to do is create a sequence to either send the windows key + 1 or Alt plus F1.
