Andrew, this is a really great write-up.  I have one question and one clarification:

    1.  Re:  SupRip…  How accurate is the OCR?  I was using something and found I needed to manually read the entire dialog for the movie, in order to ensure it was accurate.  Many characters were wrong and needed fixing and it couldn’t even read a single letter for some other movies.

    2.  You wrote:  “Where TrueHD and LPCM can be handled using OSS, bit-perfect decoders included with eac3to for our test a file with DTS-MA was purposely selected because it’s the most complex.”

I think I understood what you were trying to say, but it was a little confusing.  Is this what you were trying to say?:  “Because TrueHD and LPCM can be handled using the bit-perfect, OSS decoders included with eac3to, we chose to use a test file containing DTS-MA because it’s the most complex.”
