As a followup to this, Intel [url=http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/16/confirmed-intel-says-hdcp-master-key-crack-is-real/]has confirmed[/url] that the crack is legit. They do spin it as though it’s not an issue, however, by saying it would need to be incorporated into a physical chip. We all know how much the masses enjoy proving people wrong, so I’m sure there will be some sort of wrapper or software program to flash existing firmware in the future. It’s only a matter of time.
