Not everyone is interested in HD audio. You say that everytime someone checks out any motherboard. Really, isn’t anyone interested in HD audio already going to ask about that? I mean, and I have said this before lots of times on this forum, that it isn’t THAT big of an upgrade and the vast majority of people would be better served by a speaker or subwoofer upgrade than an upgrade to HD audio if they can even take advantage of HD audio. HDMI receivers are still pretty damn rare in people’s homes and going analog removes any processing of the source for bass management and speaker positioning by the receiver. Analog sound cards that actually sound good are expensive too.
