Its about time they agree that cablecards were a failure. Hopefully Cable Labs can come up with an easy solution. All they need is a small decryption device on the incoming cable line for people who dont need an actual cable box. I wonder what this all means for the ceton cable card tuners. Are they only be good for a few years after they come out? I’d imagine it would take awhile for the cable companies to move to a different type of decryption device.
