I have never broken a build before, but it looks like I did this time. I replaced the motherboard tonight with a Gigabyte EP43-DS3L. All was going well. Hooked everything back up. Put the power cord in and flipped the switch.
Nothing.
Somehow, I popped out the yellow wire for the power cable for the case. I spent a couple of hours playing with it. I even pulled the other three cables out of the plastic housing and plugged them directly into the modular cable from my Corsair 520HX.
Nothing.
Silence.
The Zalman HD135 normally shows the VFD display once power is supplied, even when the machine is not “on”. But I don’t even get that.
Does any one have any ideas?
