I am sick of all the noise my current HTPC is making and am planning to build a fanless small HTPC. So my question is what specs do I need to play 720p/1080i content of the HDD or DVD that is bulit in to the machine, will a VIA processor do with an IGP or will I have to go higher?
Software is optional, I am used to Media Center from Microsoft but I am willing to look into other options if it will get the job done with a fanless setup.
Any ideas?
