Hey guys! New member, but been doing some reading here for a while. Ok, so i have recently put together an HTPC using some stuff i had laying around. Seemed great, but EVERYTHING i play on it slowly goes out of sync. I’ve tried loads of things but nothing seems to help. The PC is a core2 Duo, 3ghz connected to an RCA receiver via HDMI cable on to an inexpensive 32 inch LED/LCD TV. PC is running windows 8.1 with all the latest drivers. Video card is an older Radeon HD 6570 from Sapphire. I know it’s not a great setup but it is all i can afford and i’d really love to make this work for my kids. any ideas out there? I’ve also tried running various media players on the PC including Windows media player (wow, bad) Windows media center (not so good) and XBMC current (so far by far the best).

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is it PC -> HDMI -> AVR -> HDMI -> TV? If so, do you see the same problem PC -> HDMI -> TV?

What’s your player of choice? If you’re stuck w/ WMP/WMC your only real options is to use Reclock.

Otherwise, XBMC’s sync renderer + audio features (have you tried WASAPI?) is a good option.

Unfortunately, the root cause is probably the dGPU.
