ATI’s brand new Radeon 5870/5850 series does 7.1 LPCM just like before, but now it does proper HDMI 1.3 bitstreaming!!

Not to be outdone Intel’s next generation IGP that’s on the CPU package (Clarkdale) does it too (along with adding dual-stream decode)!
