My attention regarding all things tech has been diverted recently due to a burglary from my garage. I was downstairs in my theater room on Friday night while burglars were making off with some of my stuff in the garage just a few feet away but out of visual and hearing range. I replaced a broken lockset, changed the codes on the garage door and vowed to lock things up from now on. Then I replaced the house lights with motion detector fixtures so anybody walking around will get a light. I still got the creeps though and would like to say hello to anyone coming near my stuff again. I thought there ought to be an audible alarm type device that would ring the doorbell or something when somebody or some motion is detected outside the walls of the house. Home depot has this zenith brand device that wirelessly activates a beeper but my wristwatch alarm is louder so i took that back, then i went online to see what comes up on google when you type in motion detector and stumbled upon this

this thing lets you wirelessly talk thru the speaker in the detector box. a strobe alert would even be better to get my attention when the htpc is cranking. any ideas, suggestions or interest in this here?
