I am ready to start building an HTPC server that will support 2 maybe 3 extenders running Vista. I would like the server to host all of my music, pictures, movies (HD), and TV recordings. I know I will need a lot of hard drive space, I already have Gb NICS and a GB switch so throughtput shouldn’t be a problem. My question is how do I use this server for TV recordings? I know I will need to install TV tuner cards but how will the extenders connect and schedule the recordings and also watch the recordings? Do I need to run Vista as my OS?
