Everything I’ve read about these cards has been positive, and they’re apparently so popular that hardly any web stores can keep them in stock. I finally found a place that had them, and got a pair for $250 shipped.
And of course, they don’t work properly. I’m not sure if it’s my setup or what, because people on Green Button seem to be having no problems (other than QAM) with them whatsoever. Mine, on the other hand, will barely pick up OTA HD signals from a known good antenna. And pretty much the only drivers out yet are the ones on the CD, and the beta drivers from Hauppauge’s FTP site.
Why do I do this to myself? Heh.
