AMD/ATI looks to have an awesome new IGP with the 780G, it has an integrated DX10 GPU and ATI’s UVD unit which provides the hardware VC1 and H.264 decoding engine. This little chipset may be the one to beat. And it should be available in January!

NVIDIA should have a pretty darn nice IGP soon as well. The MC78 series is an integrated DX10 part. And the MCP78U version will have the dedicated H.264 decoding unit from the 8600 series in it. Sounds like the possibility to be a real winner. It looks like NVIDIA is way late to the party and won’t have it ready until March.
So now let’s see ’em!
