Since I’ve been looking for a new remote (close to pulling trigger on Harmony One), I’ve been thinking about the IR receiver I use – the Firefly mini – without any real software installed. I know my OrigenAE X11 case has an IR Trans VFG/IR receiver, but I’ve never used the receiver. Is there a way I can use the IR receiver with a Harmony remote and some software (say EventGhost) to control SageTV?
I think I’ve still got the remote that came with the case – I’ll have to see if it picks up my current Harmony 720 signals…
Or can I stuff a different IR receiver in there – not sure if I really need the VFD – don’t use it now really.
