Well some companies pay that price for a video card (see [url=http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_tesla_C2050_C2070_us.html]NVidia Tesla C2070[/url], anyone want to send one for review?) so I don’t think it is unreasonable to expect them to spend the same on a SSD if the performance matches the size.
I can’t imagine your typical enthusiast or even high-end consumer purchasing. That said, the SSD technology and corresponding capacity has been relatively slow to advance in the last 2 years so this hopefully shows some good things to come.
