Hi,
Thank you for all of your guides on MR and your very informative podcast. They were both very helpful in building and setting up my first HTPC.
I have a question though about LPCM audio and filters in Windows 7 Media Center. I started ripping my Blu-ray collection into M2TS containers (H.264 video / LPCM audio) to be able to watch movies on both my HTPC and my PS3 (2nd viewing location). The movies play fine on the PS3; however, while the movies will play on the HTPC (VLC) they will play w/o any audio in Windows Media Center. I originally thought LPCM audio was a supported format of 7MC but it looks like that is not the case.
I recall the lengthy conversation in podcast #8 about containers, codes, and filters; particularly several references to LAV filters. Do I need to setup a LAV filter to be able to get 7MC to play the LPCM track or will I have to go down the path of FFDShow and/or codec packs?
