I’m having problems again tuning HD channels on my PC. It seems as though it coincides with my installation of Vista, but that might just be paranoia? Could drivers for Vista as opposed to XP cause a tuner to behave differently? Before when I was having problems and traced it down to my cable, I didn’t have much problems after replacing the cable. Right now I’m watching OTA HD perfectly on my DirecTV receiver; if I switch inputs and view the same channel on my PC it’s going in and out. I never had that problem before; the DirecTV receiver and VistaView tuner have always been pretty comparable when it comes to their ability to tune in a channel. If anything, the VistaView has generally been a tad better. I’ve switched the cables connecting them around and the results stay consistent, so it’s not bad cables (at least not inside). Can (lack of) memory cause an inability to pick up a station? The PC still only has 1gb since upgrading to Vista, and at other teams it is very apparent that this causes the PC to be sluggish.
