I installed MSN Remote Record on my MCE 2005 system last week. For the most part, I’ve been happy enough with it. However, when viewed from the web, the status of my media center PC is always changing to offline.
To add a recording, I have to keep refreshing my recording list until it says the status is online, then I rush over to the guide and schedule whatever I wanted. It seems like this should always stay at online. Have others experienced this behavior?
When I run a connection test on the MCE box, it always verifies correctly.
Oh, and when scheduling some recordings I always keep getting messages saying something like, too many record requests, come back after some shows have been recorded. But the shows are scheduled correctly, nonetheless.
Strange…
I’m planning to try Webguide4 soon, but I’m going to be setting up a friend’s system soon, and I think they’re behind a firewall so that won’t work for them.
