So as many of you know, this is the first week of football. Usually that is an excuse for me to pick a comfy spot on the couch for a few hours with a bunch of snacks and possibly even some friends and some beers on Sundays and complain about how our fantasy teams are doing. Well this Sunday, I get home from some business I had to attend to around 2:30pm. So I’ve already missed a good portion of the 1pm games. I plop down on the couch and grab my Harmony remote, switch on the TV.

My cable is out completely. I call Comcrap to complain (or to just see if they already know there’s a problem, I’m figuring the hurricanes could be to blame) and sure enough they’re aware it isn’t working. No ETA as to when it will be fixed, they’re hoping within a day.
Thank god for my VMC/xbox 360 setup… in mere seconds I’ve got the OTA HD feed happily displayed on my TV and I was able to watch the games! Yay! 😀
Yet another instance where I wonder why I’m still paying for cable.
