Also picked up a wall mount, an in-wall surge protector receptacle thing, a hot link pro ir-extender, lots of cables from monoprice, and some other stuff.
I already have an htpc, it will be hooked up via dvi, the tivo will be hdmi, and possibly component too. (not sure how exactly to get my reciever involved with the tivo since it doesn’t have any hdmi ability)
Going to mount the lcd over the fireplace, install the power receptacle behind it, run all the video cables through the wall into a nearby closet. I am hoping to only have to make one hole in the drywall that will need to be patched. Going to try to come down the wall and across behind the baseboards.
Anyone have any advice for me before I start?
I will try to make a series of before/during/after shots and post them here.
Total price is probably going to be just over 3k after I go to home depot.
