Here’s a quick rundown of my situation. I’ve got an MCE05 server in the basement that has 1-OTA card and one dual tuner Hauppauge card. The dual tuner is hooked up via S-Videos and composite audio to two SD DirecTV boxes. Those signals are distributed via extenders with ethernet through the house. (Obviously not the HD portion)
My question are as follows:
1.Does anyone using Vista and a 360 notice significantly improved quality on SDTV with Vista and the new compression methods vs the old MCE05 and v1 extenders?
2.How does Vista respond with OTA signals through the 360 as an exender? Pretty smooth with good quality?
3. Any other impressions with Vista and the 360?
