    Hi,

I’m getting extremely frustrated with the boot and resume times from my HP laptop.  It takes 4 min to boot and is slow for 10 min after boot.  It also takes 3 min to resume from sleep.  That is retardedly slow.  Most of my other machines resume in a few seconds.

So, I’m looking for a SSD because it seems like the computer is slow only when the harddrive is thrashing which seems to be ALL THE FREAKING TIME!  Anything disk intensive takes forever and this is my business machine so I am on it 10 hours a day.  Which SSD should I get?

I have a 14″ HP dv2000 with a 1.5ghz core 2 duo, 160GB fugitsu (edit: 5400 rpm) harddrive, 4GB of ram, Intel 950 graphics, and Vista Premium.  I would like to get at least 32GB, though 60+ GB would be better.  I have 90GB on my system now but I bet I could trim it down.  I have a SD slot I could use for more storage if needed and I will move the old drive to a 2.5″ external.  I don’t really want to spend more than $300.  $150 – 200 would be better.  Money is not the primary concern but I always go for good deals on good hardware.  Any ideas?
