That’s right…I cut the cord from DirecTV, and am strictly OTA now. The wife and I were switching back and forth from the baseball game (Fox) to Dancing with the Stars (ABC) last night and even she remarked at how much better the HD picture looked now.
It only took about 6 hours of climbing in the attic in the garage (not an easy task as I am 6’5″), running up and down stairs, aligning the antenna, but saving the $80/month is well worth it.
Now, the next goal is to actually run it through the M780 in my VMC box…but we’ll wait on that for a bit.
Really, the only thing I’ll miss is ESPN, but that’s what the inter-web is for!
