I’ve been looking at upgrading the video capabilities of my PC for playback of HD video. I saw this card on Newegg’s website. Where I have questions is the physical dimensions of this card, apparently it has a rather large heat sink located on the back side of the card. I’m curious if anyone has any first hand experience with this card and what the clearance is from the motherboard to the bottom of the heat sink.
The motherboard I’m using is a Gigabyte GA-945GZM-S2 (rev 3) and there is a good sized heat sink for the Northbridge chipset located just to the backside of the where the video card slot is. I’m not sure there’s enough room for this card with this motherboard.
