I am getting ready to reinstall W7 and want some help choosing what codecs I should insall this time around. I currently use shark007 2.8 or 2.0.8 and CoreAVC 2.1 with AC3filter handling the audio. Everything works pretty well except a couple MKV files stutter the video. After reading around I have heard the Shark now includes bloatware that is near impossible to remove, so I want to stay away from that. Shark also doesn’t support CoreAVC anymore.
I have always like CoreAVC and am willing to shell out the $10~ for it for my fairly new and older systems. Can I get away with it by itself?
Can anyone point me to a good guide or make a recommendation?
Anybody using LAV?
I download most of my content and play DVD’s from time to time. I use MediaBrowser within MC for most of my viewing.
