Well i’m about to upgrade to a 2 TB drive. I currently have 2 750gb drives. It seems that 750gb isn’t enough for Recorded TV anymore. So i’m wondering is there a way to use 2 drives for Recorded TV?

I’m planning to use the 2 750gb drives to double my recording space. I remember having read about an application at AVS Forums that basically let you do that. But I didn’t bookmark it. Doh! So i’m sure many of you have come across this issue so i’m wondering what your solutions are.

      See http://exdeus.home.comcast.net/~exdeus/WMCRecordingStoragePooler/

After that setup your Recorded TV library to monitor each location so you see them all.

I do something slighlty different but along the same lines.  Rather then changing the recorded tv location, like the pooler does, I have a one location that is always my “live” recorder, and then a scheduled task that waits for a Media Center Recorder event and launches a script that queries a couple drives, picks the one with the most space, then moves the wtv file that was just recorded into that drive.

Then just add both those locations in the recorded tv library & it’s all set!
