Anybody ever do this?
I have a couple of old mains, we moved recently and upon arrival the the foam surrounds were shot, (they were deteriorating prior) called around and got a few outrageous quotes, so I thought I had nothing to lose by doing it myself.
Was not much work, the little kit I got came with shims and new dust caps too, I almost tried doing it without the shims, seemed like extra work, but they recommended doing so. Glad I did, never would have gotten things aligned without them.
