I’m using the Rosewill RHRC-11001 purchased from Newegg. It’s a nice remote for controlling WM7 . I would like to assign one button to a little program I found called DPDT.exe that switches between audio outputs. I’ve also installed AudioRender which gives you a menu from inside WM7 to switch audio output but it’s too many clicks. They have a registry change that assigns the mute button but I want to keep that functionality at its default. I installed and configured EventGhost and successfully assigned the DVD menu button to the switcher but it also launches the DVD menu at the same time.

I would prefer to just change the registry RemoteMappingReport key to assign a keystroke combination to AutoIt script. I’m not clear on the assignments in that registry key because all the examples I found online are for people using the remotes for XBMC.

Any info that would help me assign a button to a keystroke combination that I can assign to an AutoIt script would be very appreciated.

I pinned the DPDT.exe to the taskbar and then assigned ctrl-shift-A as the shortcut key. Now if I can figure out how to assign that key combination to one of the buttons I would be all set.
