Shows up as 1m recording length and “Unknown”

I’m sure I’m not the only one with a couple of computers with tuner cards in them. Both computers have their recording folders pointed at each other so I have effectively 4 tuners that can record at the same time (each computer has a dual tuner). When they are recording at the same time the recordings on the opposite computer show up as unknown and with a recorded length of 1 minute. Does anyone know of a fix to this? I know that if I edit out commercials and then put the files back in the folder (with WMC’s closed) it will show up correctly, but I have not found any other way to fix it.

The issue is that the metadata for the shows isn’t complete until the show finishes. Until then it is stored in the local Media Center Guide database.  It should auto resolve itself once the show finishes recording, are you not seeing that behavior?

A few years ago I wrote a quick script to sync the library but haven’t used it in a while.
