    Oh wow this is a super smart move on Toshiba’s part, the HQV chips are fantastic, probably the best single-chip scaler/deinterlacer available today. This will make the MSRP of $1000 for the XA2 actually worth it for high-end videophilles. When you consider the MRSP of the high-end Blu-ray players are $1800 and don’t have nearly the emphasis on standard DVD upscaling/deinterlacing that the XA2 will have, this should be a killer piece of hardware for high-end users, and might swing some to the HD DVD camp.
