So I’ve been recently backing up my DVD collection for instant use by SageTV. They are saved in files with their names and then have the respective audio_ts and video_ts folders for the video.
SageTV can recognize these folders and plays the DVDs just fine, but on my new Eee pc i just have placeshifter which does not play the DVDs. I get an error when i try to play it because SageTV doesn’t handle those files the same way as .avi or .mpeg files. That is fine. I don’t really have to have placeshifter play those DVDs but I would like to be able to move those files to my Eee PC to take on the road. No player software I’ve tried so far can recognize the complete DVD as a whole and play the whole DVD like SageTV does. Is there something (free) that can play my backed up DVDs?
