      SSD for recording/watching HD is a waste of money IMHO.  Now, replacing your HTPC’s OS drive (or, if you’re being bad, replacing the OS partition you cramed onto one of the recording drives :)) with a 40 GB SSD drive?  Now that’s an upgrade worth considering.
