My old RCA DirecTV STB is is about to be history. DTV sent me a replacement SD STB, model D11 (DirecTV branded). There is no data port on the back, however, there is a USB port. Does anyone know if the HTPC can control this STB via USB like I was able to control my old RCA STB from my HTPC via the data port?
I don’t recall from before anyone using a USB cable to control an STB but my memory ain’t what it used to be. I did search the old HTPCnews archives but can’t seem to find the answer I’m looking for.
